But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.ġ:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.Ĥ:17 So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.Ģ:17-20 So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.ĥ:13-16 Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. This is where true wealth resides is with knowledge and understanding that we determine your course for eternity.Ĥ:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. But if you love the Lord, you will receive his almighty grace and mercy. He taught that if you loved the world, you would receive the world. He said Christians should store up God’s treasures through sincere service. Wealth- James taught Christians about true wealth. However, if we speak with u love like our savior commands us to, we will flourish. We are responsible for what comes out of our mouths, so if we speak destructively we will receive destruction. Wise Speech- It is said that we can not control the tongue as it is like a wild animal. ![]() Don’t resent the hard times, He will not give us more than we can handle. Overcoming adversity through prayer develops a mature Christian with character. The best way to build character is to stay faithful on your Christian walk when going through the trials and temptations of life. Trials- People are judged predominantly in life by their character. ![]() It is important to seek ways of putting our faith to work and seizing opportunities presented to us to put our faith to work. ![]() He really wants the Christian to live out his faith for the glory of God. Living Faith- James wants believers to understand that there is more to faith than just hearing it.
